Now I'll finish the work on my rack for all the steel profiles. It is already mounted to the wall with 6 screws and now I can start with the load test.

The three levels at the bottom are for long profiles of 1.6 - 3 m length. The top 3 are intended specifically for shorter profile, but also longer profiles can be stored there.

On the very top I have inserted 6 plastic tubes into the frame, which I'll use for very small profiles and short pieces.

The tubes are made of drain pipes where I have cut off the thick end.

Everything can now be stored very easily.

But the most important thing is the inclined surface at the front where I can stack large sheet metal plates. To make a rack for the sheet metal was the origin idea and after I have changed my plan to use also the space behind the sheet metal.

My next project is the 25 ton hydraulic press which I can move on the floor. I wanted to move the press with my hand lift truck. Therefore I had to lift it up and secure if from falling over.

First I welded angle profiles at all 4 corners. These additional lugs protects the press from tipping over during movements.

With a square wooden beam on the left and right hand side of the press socket, it is save and I can easily go under the press with my hand lift truck.

And here follows the last project this month where I can store my tires. It is not a big job to weld the frame but I have to take care that I make it not higher than the ceiling of the garage ;-)

After the measurement was finished I could continue with welding and painting. At the end I fixed the frame to the wall with some screws. .
